Recora and Jefferson Cardiology Association Expand Cardiac Rehabilitation care in Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh, PA- Recora and Jefferson Cardiology Association (JCA) announce their collaboration to expand cardiac rehabilitation in Pennsylvania through a virtual, home-based program.  This expands on Recora’s existing Pennsylvania partnership with Geisinger Health System. Together, Recora and JCA will transform cardiac rehabilitation and improve patient care in Alleghany, Westmoreland, Washington, and Fayette counties by addressing the underutilization of this critical service.

Cardiac rehabilitation is a care standard designed to improve cardiovascular health for patients recovering from heart conditions or surgeries. Research consistently demonstrates the clinical benefits of cardiac rehabilitation, including reducing the risk of future cardiac events and improving quality of life.

According to recent statistics, only five percent of eligible patients in Pennsylvania are adhering to this care standard of cardiac rehabilitation. This concerning trend is attributed to various factors, including limited access and lack of awareness.
