Beth Israel Lahey Health and Recora Expand Access to Cardiac Rehabilitation

Boston, MA – Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) has announced a strategic partnership with Recora to enhance access to rehabilitation services for chronic conditions, providing patients with a convenient, virtual option to support their recovery. This collaboration begins with a focus on cardiac rehabilitation and aims to help individuals by offering more flexible, accessible, and personalized care.
The partnership allows BILH patients to access Recora’s evidence-based cardiac rehabilitation program through a comprehensive digital platform. The virtual program includes exercise tracking, education on heart health, mental wellness support, and personalized care plans—all designed to improve heart health outcomes for patients recovering from cardiac events, surgeries, or conditions. This virtual program will serve as an additional option for patients in addition to BILH's existing in-person cardiac rehab facilities.
“We are committed to offering our patients innovative care that improves their health and overall wellbeing,” said Rob Fields, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer at BILH. “Rehabilitation is a critical part of recovery for patients with chronic conditions, and this partnership with Recora allows us to provide more options for care, ensuring that more patients can access this life-saving service, regardless of their location or mobility.”
To date, the virtual cardiac rehabilitation program has been implemented at Beverly Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. The program will be implemented at other BILH hospitals over the coming months.
“We are thrilled to work with Beth Israel Lahey Health to expand access to much-needed virtual care for patients across the region,” said Abhishek Chandra, CEO of Recora. “Together, we are empowering individuals to take control of their heart health and improve their recovery journey, all while making this critical care more accessible than ever before.”
